My Quick Steps Process for Validating Entrepreneurial Ideas

If you are like me , you have 1000 ideas daily on potential entrepreneurial ventures to pursue , here is a quick set of activities to help you think through your ideas

Define the problem you are solving:

This is how you should write a problem statement

Part A (The ideal): Describes a desired goal or ideal situation; explains how things should be and Part B (The reality): Describes a condition that prevents the goal, state, or value in Part A from being achieved or realized at this time; explains how the current situation falls short of the goal or ideal.

Who is the solution for? Make a List of 10 people you know that you believe have that problem and want it solved.

Where can you go to find those 10 people, where online? And where offline? Make a list of those 10 places

Now get their attention and ask them questions that can help you verify if the problems you are purporting to solve is a problem that have and a problem that are looking for a cure for. Again make a list of 10 questions. Please please don’t ask if they would you buy [Product A] from me question, people tend to want to be polite, and they are most likely to say yes.

    Note

If the answers you get are not encouraging, try going upstream with the problem you are solving i.e. if your initial idea is selling educational games to kids, try selling to parents for their kinds instead and or alternatively take the learning from what the 10 people you talked to say their actual problem is and build a prototype
